Do you think conservatives and liberals both suck?
Hi, I’m a little inexperienced politically, but I’ve noticed a lot of things while watching the likes of fox and msnbc. First of all, please don’t flame me, I don’t affiliate myself with either side. I feel like both sides just say ridiculous things..
I was listening to rush limbaugh, and he was talking about how men are becoming more "feminine" in the modern world, because they had lost their status as the primary "breadwinner". He went on to say that women these days tend to be more "unhappy" than they were in the 70s, and that they also tend to work a lot more and hold higher job positions than they did in the 70s. To me, it sounded like he was suggesting that women should take care of the home more, and that men should go out and do all the jobs. (I think this is wrong) And then he supports sarah palin as a politician? Not only is that sexist, but it’s hypocrisy. I don’t get it.
Al Gore couldn’t freaking shut up about global warming, but I’m PRETTY sure he has a bigger carbon footprint than all of you responders combined.
I saw this thing on fox news talking about how racial phenomenons like Driving While Black, etc. were "percieved", and not actually real. Yeah, I’m not sure about you guys, but I think it’s just common knowledge that black people are targeted more when it comes to crime.
Liberal media completely ignored the fact that Obama had used weed, but criticized Bush for drinking in his youth.
Right wingers talk about the unfairness of affirmative action toward white kids, but are conveniently silent about how indians and asians are basically discriminated against for being smart.
Basically I feel like almost everyone is just catering to people. And not ACTUALLY making any sense. The only guy I actually have respect for is Michael Savage, although he gets a bit aggressive sometimes lol.
Anyone else feel this way? All responses are welcome..

On a side note, I love how EVERYONE who has commented so far has at least one thumbs down. Gotta love it.
Some Liberals suck yes, some Conservatives do as well. But, I wouldn’t define any of those as Liberals or Conservatives. I’d describe them as either Fascists or Communists. Real Liberals are left wing, but not ridiculously left wing, and real Conservatives are right wing, but not ridiculously right wing.

Both Cons and Libs, are what are ruining this nation. They are very biased, and yet hypocritical at the same time. I’m almost sad to have served my country during these elections.

I think that extremists, not matter what side they are on, make a bad name for the rest of their party. There are some specific differences in belief between the left and the right but there is also much middle ground if people would stop preaching their party line and just sit down and talk about it.

I’m a conservative and I know nice liberals, as a well as idiotic conservatives and liberals both.
P.S. I HAVE to do this, police officers are NOT racist and don’t target people. It’s EXTREMELY dangerous for them, the last thing they’d be doing is putting their own lives at risk just to go after certain people.

Yes they both suck. They make it seem like that its going to come to a point where we start seeing states cede from the Union when most of us are liberal on some issues and conservative on other issues. They make it seem like either you’re a liberal or a conservative – there is no gray area. Its frustrating to no end. They just keep pulling the politics of our nation apart. Nothing ever gets done because nobody can agree or even compromise and when stuff does happen it seems to just make things worse.
And technically Asians and Indians are not "smarter" they just have higher educational standards.

The correct answer is Libertarian. You can have your values and actually let people do their thing. If you are pro-life, be pro-life. If you think marriage is between a man and a woman, then don’t marry someone of the same sex.
Drugs aren’t a law enforcement issue, that’s why nobody turns in their brother, sister, mother or father. They want them to get help. Nobody wants to send their child off to war, that’s why we are non-interventionist. That, and war is very costly, in money and in lives. If we closed many of our overseas bases, it would save the taxpayers a metric shxt ton of money and we wouldn’t experience much of the blow-back we have had with terrorist attacks.
I know guns don’t kill people and children who listen to Manson don’t shoot up schools. I also am not inclined to believe that dudes in the middle east happy with their way of life are shaking their fist at the west hating our freedom. If anything, they don’t want us bringing our way of life into their lives. Our freedom doesn’t depend on whether or not they have elections or can draw pictures of Mohommad without riots breaking out.
Besides, if you can’t "count on the Government to save New Orleans" HOW ON EARTH DO YOU EXPECT IT TO BRING DEMOCRACY TO IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN?!

Well, it is not that both the liberal and conservative side sucks, it is that the far-left and far-right are lunatics. When you listen to the far left or far right sources, such as Fox News and MSNBC, you are getting one-sided story. I personally am a Libertarian. I have some conservative beliefs and some liberal beliefs. However, I typically support moderate Republican candidates, such as Ron Paul. I watch CNN, read Time magazine, and occasionally watch Fox News. For world news, I refer to the BBC. They are an unbiased source and gives me a good idea into how the world. To answer your question, yes the closed minded far-left and far-right are a little bit crazy. However, moderate liberals and conservatives should not be labeled by those loyal to the Dems. or Reps.

There are some very low quality politicians who are liberal or conservative. Keep your eyes open, there are a few good politicians alive. Research these people and tell us what you think: Arnold Schwarzenneger, Ron Paul, Ross Perot, Ralph Nader
